Swar Kala Sangam was established 37 years ago in Jammu - J&K when the Founder - Director Prof. Baldev Singh Bali decided to dedicate his life in the field of Music. Prof. Bali studied the intricacies of music under the guidance of Sangeet MahaMaho Upadhayay Pt. Dilip Chanderji Vedi and Bharat Ratna and Padma Vibhushan Pt. Bhimsen Ji Joshi. He has expertise in Dhrupad, Dhamar, Khayal, Thumri and Tappa. He holds the formal degrees of Sangeet Alankaar from Gandharv Mahavidhyalay Mandal - Pune, Prabhakar from Punjab University and BA from University of Jammu and Kashmir. Now Swar Kala Sangam is managed by Prof. Bali's Daughter and disciple - Ms. Mukta Mehta. She is a qualified music professional with MA in Music and Gold Medalist in Music from Jammu University. Now Swar Kala Sangam provides Music Class (indian classical music class, carnatic music class, ghazal music class, bhajan class, folk music class, bollywood music class, western music class and more), Dance Class (kathak class, bharatnatyam class, manipuri dance class, odissi dance class), Art Class (Drawing, Oil Painting, Acrylic Painting and sketching), Instrument classes (Guitar class, Piano Class, Tabla Class, Sitar Class, Flute Class, Harmonium class and more)
The aim and objective of the Sangam are to impart Classical Values in the children and adults, Impart knowledge to the ones aiming to take Music and Arts as their profession, organize music conferences, demonstrations, festivals in memory of eminent musicians and also to encourage young artists by giving them all the help to exhibit their talent. Swar Kala Sangam has been instrumental in organising a number of conferences in Delhi, Chandigarh and Jammu.

We impart music knowledge in the best way possible manner with passion and conscience. Even more, we impart music learning to different types of individuals with varying skills.
